# Building a Connected Digital Mobility Ecosystem
My work at Móva Mobility has evolved from building core software products to leading the technical direction of an integrated digital mobility ecosystem. Since joining as a Software Developer in June 2025 and progressing to Software Engineer Technical Lead in May 2026, I have contributed across backend engineering, web and mobile development, system architecture, and production infrastructure.
I built the foundations of Móva’s digital operations through Laravel-based backend services and REST APIs, a React and TypeScript administration platform, and a React Native mobile application for event-based bus reservations. These products brought essential workflows—including bookings, fleet management, personnel coordination, and customer operations—into a more structured digital environment.
As the platform evolved, I expanded Móva Manager into a broader operations and administration system, incorporating reservation management, customer support, notifications, payments, financial workflows, and fleet administration. I also implemented map-based fleet and route visualization, migrating the mapping infrastructure from Mapbox to Google Maps APIs.
A major step in this evolution was the development of Móva Pass, a subscription-based transport service for students and professionals. I designed the technical architecture connecting subscriptions, digital user accounts, dedicated bus routes, and NFC cards, enabling physical cards to be associated with subscription records and used within subscription-control workflows. I also led the initial deployment of Móva Pass across two bus routes, establishing a foundation for future expansion.
Throughout this work, I have owned key architectural decisions, backend and database design, application integrations, production deployments, performance optimization, and system reliability. My focus has been to build maintainable software that addresses real operational constraints while remaining adaptable as the business grows.
Today, Móva’s digital ecosystem connects passenger-facing applications, internal operational tools, subscription services, and physical NFC cards. My role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, ensuring these components work together as a coherent platform and providing a foundation for the continued development of connected mobility services.

What I did
- Own the technical architecture and engineering direction of Móva’s digital ecosystem across backend services, web applications, mobile applications, and production infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and evolve Móva Manager, Móva, and Móva Client as interconnected products supporting transport operations and passenger services.
- Architect and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Laravel 12, MySQL, and Redis to support reservations, fleet operations, subscription management, and client applications.
- Build and maintain Móva Manager using React and TypeScript, covering fleet and personnel management, reservations, customer support, notifications, payments, financial workflows, and operational administration.
- Design and implement Móva Pass, a subscription-based transport service for students and professionals, including subscription management, dedicated bus routes, and scheduled pickup and drop-off workflows.
- Develop the integration between Móva Pass, digital user accounts, and NFC cards, enabling physical cards to be read and associated with subscription records for identification and subscription control.
- Build and maintain the Móva mobile application using React Native, supporting event-based bus reservations and the evolving Móva mobility ecosystem.
- Implement map-based fleet and route visualization using mapping APIs, including the migration from Mapbox to Google Maps to improve maintainability and ecosystem integration.
- Design booking, trip scheduling, and vehicle-allocation logic to support consistent reservations and reduce operational conflicts.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), structured database schemas, and data relationships for operational teams, vehicles, personnel, trips, routes, customers, and bookings.
- Manage production deployments, infrastructure, application releases, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ongoing platform reliability.
- Translate operational requirements into production-ready features in collaboration with stakeholders, while continuously improving system scalability, security, and maintainability.
